hot hot hot

it's been hot hot hot in the D! saturday, elle was such a trooper with the home improvement errands so after her nap, we packed up and went to a nearby spray park. do you know kids act like rabid dogs when they think they're unsupervised running through a million little sprays of water? it was like a scene from cujo.

but our little ellie belly calmly assessed the situation & took it all in stride and had a big time.

when she had her fill, we loaded up & came home to sit in the calm, safe waters of our own kiddie pool.  with no rabid animals.
